Year (4)/2007: Independent Research and Redefinition (National and International).

The coming year of 2007 for Transvoyeur is set as 'Independent Research and Redefinition' for the programme. There are an array of events and projects under the programme of Transvoyeur, but these will start to evolve by each members independent research and explored not only in Liverpool, England, but with a greater emphasis to the national and international opportunities. Transvoyeur in Association with 'Loft Space Project'.
January 2007 - April 2007

The 'Loft Space Project' is an artist in residence project curated by Jo Derbyshire to explore arts and culture in the urban space with contributions from other Transvoyeur artists and invited guest artists.

Transvoyeur and SOS Childrens Village: 'Childhood' Exhibition, Transdigital On-Line Gallery Space, 2007.
January 2007 - December 2007

An open submission to an international arts platform through the media of Transdigital On-Line Gallery Space. An array of images of different creative processes on the subject of 'Childhood' to coincide with the objectives the campaign of SOS Childrens Village. Co-Curators: Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney and Victoria Samantha Smith.

Transvoyeur Webcam Performance Art Platform, Part of 39 Art Day.
March 2007

39 Art Day (Thank You Art Day) is a special day to appreciate, promote, and otherwise positively engage ourselves in contemporary art worldwide. Initiated by a Germany-based Japanese artist Yoshiaki Kaihatsu (www.yoshiakikaihatsu.com). To coincide with the international activities of this programme on 09 March 2007 Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney has posed to the Transvoyeur artists a webcam performance art platform to share in this unique exchange of cultural dialogue.

Tony Knox and Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney affiliate artists to both Transvoyeur and Eight Days a Week (Liverpool/Cologne) research arts and culture in city of Cologne (Germany) in the urban space and gallery context (Martin Turck Galerie, Cologne).

Transvoyeur Art Auction for Royal Liverpool Hospital.
May 2007

An auction is proposed to raise funds for the Royal Liverpool Hospital Emergency Department with the support of the View Two Gallery, Liverpool, England. An intiative conceived and facilitated by Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney (UK Projects Co-ordinator) and Transvoyeur Management Group.

Transvoyeur in Association with When the City Speaks - The City is a Stage.
June - August 2007

A curatorial progamme conceived and managed by Jo Derbyshire set on art in the urban space. This is in collaboration with Transvoyeur and the South Bohemia Gallery (Liverpool, England). The events scheduled for this project are set for Liverpool (UK), London (UK) and Paris (France) for each respective month from June to August 2007.

June - August 2007

A project conceived and curated by Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney. Two artists from Liverpool (UK) and New York (US) have been selected to participate in the following pilot scheme of an online collaborative and curatorial research project of culture and creativity in the context of art and urban environment. The first theme set is titled 'Gender, Space, Art and Architecture' and forms the polit scheme of specific tailored projects set between artists through Transvoyeur.

Transvoyeur Professional Market Research: Paris/Barcelona.
July 2007

A group of the UK based Transvoyeur artists will go to Barcelona (Spain) and Paris (France) to research the contemporary arts and culture in either city and to establish and forge links for future exchanges.

Transvoyeur Legacy, Contemporary Art on Display, Emergency Department at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, England.

Transvoyeur Legacy is a diverse collection of contemporary art work from established professional artists to be donated to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital by the Transvoyeur. This to impart a ‘Legacy’ to the city and the hospital prior to the European Capital of Culture 2008. To be part of the hospital permanent collection on display for future generations. Conceived and faciliated by Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney (UK Projects Co-ordinator) and managed by Tony Knox (Curator).

To celebrate the Fifth 20/08 Day, Transvoyeur are offering free to the first 25 email submissions a collection of limited edition postcards that depict contemporary art.

The history of Transvoyeur, founded 2003, and the events up to 2006 in the Independents Liverpool Biennial 2006 will be presented in a catalogue. It contains the information on the events, projects and exhibitions and artists from the different international cities.

Transvoyeur Performance Art Platform 2007, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007.
August 2007

Live art produced and conceived by the Transvoyeur artists to be presented at the international events of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007. Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney and Tony Knox take their extraordinary live art and audience participation interventions to Edinburgh.

Transvoyeur International DV 2007 (Digital Video Platform) 'Laissez-Faire, Creative Destruction, Disruptive Technology'.
August - December 2007

The Transvoyeur International DV 2007 is an international digital video platform and will screen new media in Liverpool (UK), New York (US), Cologne (Germany) and BBC Big Screen (UK). The title and theme is 'Laissez-Faire, Creative Destruction, Disruptive Technology'. Co-curated by Chris Boyd and Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney.

The Big Draw 2007 and Transvoyeur
October 2007

Transvoyeur and associate artists contribute to supporting a programme for the The Big Draw 2007. Drawing sets will be distributed on request by email to participants free to produce an image of their favourite place. This will be exhibited on line at www.transvoyeur.com.

The exhibition of the art by the Liverpool and New York artists launched at the Independents Liverpool Biennial 2006 at the View Two Gallery (Liverpool, England) will tour to New York (US).

Independent Practice and Research of Artists for 2007 
 

Agata Alaniz: Environmental Art.
Alcaniz is preparing for a new series art set on his interest in Environmentalism, both in digital video media and live art intervention. She will be collaborating with several institutions in the development of this distinct and innovative work on a topical subject.

Chris Boyd
Boyd is currently researching and new series of digital video and multi-media projects set on the iconic in art history through this alternative media. This is combined with many contracts in cross platform where conceptual art in digital technology meets commercial interests in his extraordinary art. As well as a creative practitioner, he will be curating several large digital video programmes in 2007.

Brendan Byrne: VJ Theory
Byrne in collaboration with the VJ Theory group are to publish their first book in 2007. He has been invited to two US universities to lecture on this work on the philosophy and theory of vjing and real time interaction (www.wjtheory.net). He will be working with Michael Betancourt (Curator of Iowa Sate Museum andGallery, US) on applications for his proposed 'Taxonomy of Abstract Form’.

Rob D.Davies: City and History.
Davies is exploring through his practice of drawing the concepts urban space and historical context. The new series of work to be developed is proposed to be platformed at various exhibitions in 2007.

Jo Derbyshire: When the City Speaks, Loft Space Project, Art and Urban Culture.
When the City Speaks, a live art project by Derbyshire will be explored through different urban spaces and the creative processes of subjectivity and objectivity. The Loft Space project is another stage combined to consider through her theoretical practice concepts of spatiality and artistic intervention. She is currently studying her Masters in Visual Arts.

Tony Knox: Hero.
Knox is working with several educational and cultural bodies on the final resolve of his alter-ego character ‘Moth Man’. In 2007, this character, now one of urban myth and iconic status in popular culture will reach a culmination to be revealed. Knox will be finishing his Masters in Visual Arts.

George Lund: Animal Utopia
Lund will be researching and developing a large scale performance art platform for 2008 in collaboration with the Liverpool Culture Company. In combination with this, a philosophical text Lund has written influenced on his visualisations and theories of humanity in his art is to be edited this year for publication. Date to be announced.

Charles Nuttall: Media – Concept and Space.
Nuttall will be researching digital media through programming and graphic and concepts of spatiality of different media processes from gaming, the internet and much more.

Gary Sollars: Art, Dollman ...
Sollars will present new guises of Dollman and the infamous Disco events for 2007. Through his own practice he explores new concepts and creative processes on his themes of social commentary. There will be an array of events, projects and exhibitions to be announced by Sollars in the coming months.

Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney: Genetic Intervention and Visual Dialogue.
Sweeney will collaborate with several London and international institutions in her professional activites to research and develop a new series art on the theoretical and practitioner constructs of philanthropy, genetic intervention and visual dialogue in post modern art, society and culture. The plurarity of her engagement in 2007 will be in London (UK), New York (US) and other international cultural platforms. Sweeney will be studying for her PhD in London (UK).

Andrew Taylor: Peotry and Publication.
Taylor will be finishing his PhD on Poetry and Poetics, gathering work for his next collection and work produced at 'The Loft Space' residency in Liverpool (UK) for future publication. As a member of Edge Hill University's Poetry and Poetics Research Group, he will be recording his poetry for CD release. Taylor hopes to continue aspects of his research in the USA in 2007.

Sarah Townsend: Professional Research (New York) and Royal College of Arts.
Townsend will research and develop a new series of art proposed on the history of the erotic. She is to travel to New York for professional development. She has applied to the Royal College of Arts, London, England, for later this year.
